What does Medicaid Cover?
Under normal circumstances what is covered is the following:

• Preventative and Diagnostic Care. This included x-rays, prophylaxis cleanings, sealants, fluoride applications and space maintainers.
• Therapeutic Benefits includes the treatment of cavities, oral surgeries, extractions, crowns, root canals, dental emergencies, incisions and drainage of abscesses. Also included are periodontal (gum) treatments of gum flap procedures, scaling and root planning and gingivectomy. All sedation and necessary hospitalization are also covered.

What is NOT covered? Treatments categorized as purely cosmetic are not covered, nor are experimental procedures, malignancies, and prescriptions or drugs.

What is a Main Dentist?
A main dentist is your primary, regular dentist. You can change your main dentist. Liberty Family Dental can be your main dentist under the Medicaid system.
